Getting Started With Socialcam and Video Star

First, you will want to visit your app store and download two apps:  Socialcam and Video Star and your most of the way there.  Once you’ve set up socialcam, go ahead and look around at Video Star.  It has on-screen tutorials that will show you how to use the application.  You are able to use music from your iphone, simply pick a song and then record segments of video throughout the song.  You will get the hang of it after you play around with it for a bit.  It only took me one time to learn how it works.  As you can see below, I had a blast making my first music video.  I can tell you it wont be my last.  To follow me on social cam and other social networks be sure to CLICK HERE.  If you are new to socialcam, you will soon grow to love it.  There are a lot of great people sharing their lives via creative videos, with music backgrounds and fancy titles.

Personal Development “The More You Grow, the Further You Will Go!”

I started my journey for personal development in the year 2000 shortly after attending a seminar on Real Estate Investing.  At that time I bought a Real Estate training package for around 1300 dollars.  There were some books and tapes included in the package along with an invitation to attend a weekend seminar on Real Estate investing.  As I began to dig through the materials I had received, I noticed much of it had to do with what they called “mind feed.”  The idea was that I would intentionally read or listen to positive content for 15 minutes on a daily basis.  At the time, I was not reading anything and only listening to music whenever I was in the car.

As I began reading and listening, I realized that in about a week I was already getting a different perspective on life.

Wow, and I thought I was just signing up to learn more about how to buy some real estate.

As the days went on, I found myself hungry for more and realizing there was more to life then just working on an assembly line for General Motors.  I began to dream again and feel as if I could do anything I wanted.  My confidence was skyrocketing and my people skills growing and soon I attended the three-day seminar.

8 years later I began a new business and the previous 8 years of personal development helped me climb fast and earn a lot of money.  I’ve also begun to make friends quickly both online and offline and find ways to add value to other people’s lives.  Somewhere along the journey I adopted the mission statement: “I believe if I help enough people become successful and get what they want in life, I can become successful and have whatever I want in my life.”   The books you read and things you listen to, are just the beginning to personal growth, surrounding yourself with like-minded people is equally as important.  I’ve managed to do both over the past 12 years and becoming a student to personal development has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!

So where does one start?  How does one start?

I would start with a personal inventory.  In other words, think of all the people you are associated with and do and inventory on your relationship.  Is your friendship one of proximity.  In other words, did you grow up in the same neighborhood, work at the same job?  Not that proximity is a bad connection, but your next step is to find out if that friendship add or subtracts from your dreams and goals.  And if you don’t have dreams or goals, then I guess we need to take one step back.  For me I created a dream board and continue to add to it daily!  Click on the dream board picture to see mine and get some ideas for yourself.  Once you have that done, return back to your inventory.  Shedding friends that are headed nowhere and trying to take you with them can be a painful and liberating experience all at once.  It takes making a decision to want more and realizing that you need to cut the ties that are holding you back.  This step can only be accomplished once you’ve made a commitment to your dreams and goals.  Then and only then will you have the strength and courage to move forward.  This has happened to me several times in life.  The first time was the most painful and then once I realized the power and importance of pruning my friendship tree, I embraced in the years following my first pruning.  I never burn bridges, just choose wisely who I am going to spend time with and allow into my inner circle, my family.  I will supply a book list at the end of this post and I suggest you begin to read some of the books I’ve read to start your journey.  You will also need to find a place to meet new people.  I suggest meetup.com group a facebook group or other group that you can plug into and begin making new relationships.  At first the internet may seem the best place because it is non-confrontational, but I suggest meeting people in groups face to face as soon as possible.  Meetup.com is great for that.  I plan to touch on personal development again soon, at this point I feel a good introduction has been presented.  Below you will find some great books to look over.  Feel free to connect with me anytime if you have any questions or just want to start a new friendship with someone who wants to help you become successful.
